Our barley harvesting is in full swing.
All the straw used for our KosiBed products are grown here on our farm, meaning we manage the crop from sowing to harvesting. We are in control of managing the crop for weeds, pests and contaminants.
The crop is cut and grain brought brought to the yard to be dried and used in our FibreGold feeds while the straw is rowed up using a ROC 880 merger, which we had on demonstration last week. It reduces the chances of gathering stones in the straw before being brought back to the yard to be dust extracted and processed into KosiBed.
